- Registering new handicraftsmen
- Conducting handicrafts and handloom textiles exhibitions and select the best creations by a professional judge board and awarding prizes for them.
- Supporting for finding good market for the handicrafts products of Uva Province
- Providing necessary technical equipment required for the upliftment of the quality of the products of the handicraftsmen of the Province
- Evaluating the handicraftsmen annually
- Identification of the skills of the school level handicraftsmen and preparing necessary plans for encouraging them
